The ORAI Agent doesn't work with a technical generic user. Instead, your employees log in with their personal SAP credentials. This means: The permissions from your SAP role concept are applied 1:1. A sales rep only sees customer data from their region. A buyer only sees their material groups. No complex new concept – your existing authorization matrix applies.

OData (Open Data Protocol) is an open standard for REST-based APIs. SAP has been using OData for years – for Fiori apps, for the Integration Platform, for Analytics. These interfaces are already present in your system, documented, and tested. We don't reinvent the wheel – we use what SAP itself recommends.
